Tehran- Dr. Maha El-Adawy, UNFPA Representative in the Islamic Republic of Iran, presented her letter of credence to H.E Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Foreign Minister.
In the ceremony Dr. Zarif pointed out the new Population and Development policies and called for building cooperation between UNFPA and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to make sure the policies are smoothly implemented.
Dr. El-Adawy also touched on the new Population Policies addressed by the Supreme Leader and its timeliness and announced readiness to cooperate with the government in the process of implementation. The UNFPA Representative also expressed hope for the expansion of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
